We are helping people with a valid COVID-19 travel pass undertake necessary travel during the nation-wide lockdown. We are grateful to our COVID warriors, our drivers, who are willing to get on the road to help people carry their necessary travel.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: The new guidelines enforced as a part of Lockdown 4.0 have been released. The government has imposed this lockdown phase until May 31.
Why do you need an e-pass for travel during COVID-19?
Local/Within city travel as well as Inter-district/ Within state travel is allowed in cities marked except for states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu . However, even on Local travel, restrictions imposed by state and/or district authorities may apply.
Inter-state (across states) travel mostly requires a pass even if one or both of the source and destination city are classified as a non-containment zone. In the containment zones, passes are required for all kinds of travel including Local/Within the city, Inter-district and Inter-state. Currently, these passes are issued only for limited travel and most times issuance of a pass requires 24-36 hours of lead time.
At this time, only 2 passengers are allowed in four-seater cabs and up to three passengers in six-seaters cabs. Both the driver and the travellers are strictly advised to follow all COVID precautions which are – mandatory wearing of masks, carrying sanitizer and maintaining social distance as much as possible. You can read more about the precautions that we are taking.
