It is also considered to be a part of the greater Tirthan Valley, famous among backpackers, hikers, trekkers, travelers, and tourists alike. Jibhi makes for an important stop on the road to Manali from Shimla, and also serves as a base for trekkers enroute to nearby places.

The local culture of Jibhi is what attracts most people to this place. Jibhi’s culture is a blend of old colonial charm and local folk traditions, still found in the Victorian-style cottages and the native-style stone and wooden cottages and huts.

Why is Jibhi a famous Tourist attraction?

The mesmerizing hamlet is surrounded by lush forests of pine, cedar, and other alpine trees, apple and orange orchards etc. An offbeat place, unlike other popular tourist destinations in the state, the village is famous for its tranquil surroundings, freshwater lakes, and pristine beauty, untouched by commercialization.

Unknown Facts and Features

Until the mid-nineties, Jibhi was known only to a handful of pro-trekkers. In 1992, a local ex-army man, Bhagwan Singh Rana started the first ever guesthouse in the entire valley. As his guests grew in number, the reputation of the village grew as a scenic Himalayan hamlet and became the destination we know today. This inspired more locals to put Jibhi on the world travel map by offering them a classic Himachalese experience with food, culture, and tour packages.
